Welcome to the world of spices! Roots, leaves, bark, berries and seeds — so many delicious and exciting ingredients that spice up our food as well as adding a wealth of health benefits to boot.

What is the difference between “spices” and “herbs”?

Basically, herbs are the leaves of culinary plants, and spices are all the other parts of the plant. ginger root, cinnamon bark, coriander seed, juniper berries are all examples of spices.

One spice that shines above others and is considered one of the healthiest, tastiest and oldest spice is cinnamon.
