A memorial service for Kenneth Grady Lowe will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest in Bakersfield. He passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, with his family at his side.
He was born February 21, 1937, the third of eight children to Grady and Lula Lowe. He was raised in Oklahoma and moved to Bakersfield as a young man.
He worked for Sierra Production Service and then as a head well puller for Lunn Production Service.
Ken never met a stranger; he loved people and loved to give a helping hand to anyone that needed it.
He was a very active man, who loved nature and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Leland and Leon, sister Mary Lou Buchanan, and in 2004 his beloved wife Carol, to whom he was married for 31 years.
He is survived by his children, Cindy (Perry) Groves, Ken (Lori) Lowe and Lori (Gary) Queen; step children, Tom and Ron Lutz and Gerry Kalar, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brothers Harvey and James Lowe, and sisters Nevada Rogers and Mildred Armstrong.
He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
