PASO ROBLES ó It is Latino health awareness month and the Network for Healthy California and the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department are coming to Paso Robles on Friday, Sept. 27 to help the local Latino population live healthier, more active lives.
According to Shannon Klisch, the Network for Healthy California program manager, obesity has doubled among Latino children and now nearly half of Latino children in the state ages 9 to 11 are either overweight or obese. The Network creates opportunities for communities to come together and learn to how to break the cycle of unhealthy behaviors by discovering healthy ways to make traditional foods.For the complete article see the 09-24-2013 issue.
