SAN LUIS OBISPO — The Paso Robles cross country team traveled south to compete in the San Luis Obispo County Championships on Friday, Nov. 1, and the Bearcats earned some countywide bragging rights because of their performance.

The SLO County meet, held at the Laguna Lake Park, featured teams from the PAC-7 and Los Padres League, among others within the county. Rather than divvying up participants by division, the meet consisted of just two races, one for boys and one for girls of all levels.

Paso Robles, led by senior Ethan Serpa’s fifth-place finish, won the boys’ championship with a team score of 43. Serpa completed the course in 16 minutes, 12 seconds to boost the Bearcats, who ended up with a cumulative time of 1:22:25.
