Store on Creston Road robbed Tuesday afternoon

Posted: Tuesday, Nov 5th, 2013

PASO ROBLES — Four women and a man are believed to be behind the robbing of a convenience store Tuesday afternoon on Creston Road, the Paso Robles Police Department reported.

Shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday, the PRPD received a report of theft from the El Korita Store in the 1400 block of Creston Road.

The victim reported four adult Hispanic women approached the store, but only two entered the business. While inside, one of the women distracted the clerk long enough for the second woman to take cash sitting near the front counter. Both exited the store and joined the two standing outside. All four walked to a vehicle described as a full-size, dark-colored SUV driven by a Hispanic man.

The two women who entered the store were described as being between 50 andy 60 years old, while the two who remained outside were believed to be in their 20s.

Nobody was injured during the incident and no weapons were mentioned or observed.

Attempts to locate the suspects were unsuccessful. The California Highway Patrol helicopter assisted with the search.

The PRPD is seeking the public's help in solving the alleged crime. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 549-STOP (7867) or submit a tip through the Crime Stoppers website at www.slotips.org or send a text message to CRIMES (274637).
