PASO ROBLES — The United States has not met the international or national standards and benchmarks for education standards in years. Many individual states also have not met benchmarks for standardized testing. This prevented students from graduating from high school, entering the work force with the proper skills or entering college with success.
These factors are what inspired the implementation of a new nationwide curriculum change and the formation of Common Core Curriculum Standards and the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
