There are moments in life that make a person stop, take a hard look at their situation and learn to take time out to stop and smell the proverbial roses.
The Henry family had one of those moments following the Los Angeles International Airport shooting on Nov. 1. Each of them admits to looking at life differently and feeling grateful for the small things sometimes taken for granted. They said Paso Robles never looked as good as it did when they finally got home.
“I would consider this a near-death experience,” said Mark Henry. “Anytime you have an experience like that it changes your outlook on life. How you view your family, how you view your children, how you approach each and every day and live it to its fullest potential, because you never know, you might not be here an hour from now, or a day from now.”For the complete article see the 11-26-2013 issue.
